Behavioral Health Grants

The Nicholas & Dorothy Cummings Foundation’s grantmaking supports innovative programs and educational efforts that enhance behavioral health practices.

Grant Guidelines

To be eligible, applicants must be qualified U.S.-based 501(c)(3) public charities; international grantees must demonstrate nonprofit status or an equivalent designation in their respective countries. This may include research organizations, educational institutions, professional organizations supporting behavioral health efforts, or similar organizations.

Eligible organizations should work on one or more of the following priority areas:

  • Prioritize direct engagement opportunities for children and adults in order to provide programs the ability to start or expand direct services.
  • Conduct research in the field of behavioral health.
  • Provide professional development in an effort to change how we think about mental health so that all humans can seek and access the help they need to live a positive and productive life.

Grants are expected to range from $25,000 to $150,000, with one award up to $250,000. We accept applications within our priority areas in behavioral health only. If you have questions about eligibility or the application, please email us.
